In grams, 24-karat gold fell by Rs. 4,029 to Rs. 368,858, while 22-karat gold dropped by Rs. 3,693 to Rs. 338,132. The consistent declines across all variants highlight the depth of the selling pressure.

The crash was fueled by severe weakness in international markets. The global gold price per ounce plunged by $47 to $4,078, its lowest level in over a year. This global market collapse continues to drive local prices lower.

- Gold, 24K per tola: Rs. 430,236 down by Rs 4,700

Since the historic peak above Rs. 563,000 in early March, gold has now lost over Rs. 133,000 per tola, representing a correction of approximately 24%.
