The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast continued heatwave conditions across Karachi and other parts of Sindh, with temperatures expected to remain significantly above normal from June 11 to 13.
According to the latest forecast, very hot and humid conditions will persist in the Karachi division during the three-day period, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35°C to 41°C along with high humidity levels, which may further intensify the heat impact.

Karachi Weather on Thursday, June 11
Karachi is expected to experience very hot and humid conditions on Thursday as heatwave intensity continues across the city.
Maximum temperatures are likely to remain between 39–41°C, while minimum temperatures may recorded at 30.3°C overnight. Morning humidity stayed high at around 79 per cent, while evening levels may drop to 50–60 per cent. Winds are likely to blow from the westerly direction.
Karachi Weather on Friday, June 12
Weather conditions are expected to remain hot and humid on Friday, although a slight drop in intensity is likely compared to Thursday.
The PMD has forecast maximum temperatures between 36–38°C, while minimum temperatures will remain in the range of 29–31°C. Morning humidity is expected between 70–80 per cent, while evening humidity may range between 55–65 per cent. Winds will continue from the west to southwesterly direction.
Karachi Weather on Saturday, June 13
Hot and humid conditions are likely to persist on Saturday as the heatwave spell continues across the city.

Maximum temperatures are expected to remain between 35–37°C, while minimum temperatures will stay between 29–31°C. Morning humidity is likely to remain between 70–80 per cent, easing slightly to 55–65 per cent in the evening. Winds are expected to continue from a west to southwesterly direction.
Heatwave conditions continue across Sindh
The PMD has warned that heatwave conditions will persist across most parts of Sindh during this period, with temperatures remaining 4–6°C above normal.
In several upper Sindh districts, temperatures may soar to extreme levels between 48–51°C in areas including Sukkur, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Dadu, Khairpur, and surrounding regions.
Meanwhile, southern and central districts such as Hyderabad, Badin, Mirpurkhas, and Umerkot are expected to experience temperatures between 42–45°C.
Karachi’s heat intensity will also remain elevated due to high humidity, which may increase the discomfort level for residents throughout the forecast period.
Dust storms possible in some areas
The weather department has warned that intense surface heating may trigger dust storms, dust-raising winds or light rain in isolated parts of Sindh during the forecast period.

These conditions may reduce visibility temporarily and affect road travel in affected areas.
Public advised to take precautions
The PMD has advised citizens, particularly children, women, and senior citizens, to avoid unnecessary outdoor exposure during peak heat hours from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Residents are urged to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and limit outdoor activity during intense daytime conditions.
Electricity demand likely to increase
Authorities have noted that electricity consumption may rise during the ongoing heatwave due to increased use of cooling systems.
The public is encouraged to use electricity responsibly to help manage load demand during peak hours.
Water conservation advised
With persistent high temperatures across the province, citizens are requested to use water judiciously and avoid unnecessary wastage during the heatwave spell.

The PMD has advised all relevant authorities to remain alert and take precautionary measures to deal with any heat-related emergencies during the forecast period.
