Higher Education Commission (HEC) has launched a fully online and paperless Degree Attestation System (DAS), introducing a major digital reform aimed at simplifying the attestation process for students and graduates across Pakistan.
According to an official statement, the new system is designed to be secure, efficient, and user-friendly, allowing applicants to apply for degree attestation online at any time without visiting HEC offices or sending original educational documents.

The commission stated that the updated online Degree Attestation System, along with secure e-Attestation Certificates, officially became effective from May 11, 2026.
Here’s how you can use it:
Step-by-Step Process:
- Create Account & Start Application: Sign up or log in at the HEC e-services portal and select “Degree Attestation” from your dashboard.
- Enter Personal Details: Provide accurate information (name, father’s name, DOB, CNIC details, address, etc.). All details must match CNIC and educational documents.
- Add Educational Information: Enter complete academic history from Matric/SSC to final degree, including institution, roll number, session, and degree details. Select only the degree you want to attest.
- Select Documents for Attestation: Choose required documents such as:
- Degree
- Transcript/Result Card
- Provisional Certificate (if applicable)

- HEC Equivalence Letter
Fee is automatically calculated based on selection.
- Upload Documents: Upload clear scanned copies of CNIC (front & back) and all academic documents from SSC onwards.
- Review & Submit: Carefully verify all details, accept the undertaking, and ensure accuracy before submission.
- Pay Online Fee: Fee is Rs. 3,000 per document. Generate a consumer number, pay via 1-Link banking channels, and verify payment online.
Processing Steps:
- HEC Scrutiny: Documents and personal details are verified. Any issues are returned for correction.
- University Verification: Concerned university confirms academic records.
- Final Approval: After verification, HEC issues an e-Attestation Certificate.
Final Step:
Applicants receive SMS/email notification and can download the e-Attestation Certificate directly from their HEC account.
Important updates:
- Applicants who already paid under the old system will be processed until June 30, 2026.
- New applicants are advised to use the updated online system.
