The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued its latest weather forecast for Karachi, predicting warm and humid conditions over the next three days from May 8 to May 10, 2026, as a heatwave continues to grip central and upper parts of Sindh.
According to the PMD, while Karachi will experience warm and humid weather, a heatwave alert remains in place for central and upper parts of the province until May 11.

Temperatures in several districts including Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur, Nosheroferoz, Jacobabad, Larkana and Sukkur may soar to an extreme 47-49°C during this period.

Friday will bring warm and humid conditions to Karachi with maximum temperatures ranging between 34-36°C. Minimum temperatures will hover around 28°C overnight. Morning humidity will remain at 78 per cent while evening levels will settle at 60-70 per cent. Winds will blow from a West/Southwesterly direction.

Saturday will continue with warm and humid conditions as maximum temperatures ease slightly to 33-35°C. Overnight lows will range between 26-28°C. Morning humidity will rise to 75-85 per cent while evening levels will settle at 55-65 per cent. Winds will blow from a West/Southwesterly direction.

Sunday will bring continued warm and humid conditions with maximum temperatures settling between 34-36°C. Minimum temperatures will range between 26-28°C. Morning humidity will ease to 70-80 per cent while evening levels will settle at 55-65 per cent. Winds will continue from a West/Southwesterly direction.

The PMD has advised the general public, especially children, women and senior citizens across the province to take precautionary measures during the ongoing heatwave.
Residents are strongly advised to avoid direct sun exposure during daytime hours and remain well hydrated.
Farmers are also advised to manage their crop activities and take care of their livestock keeping in view the prevailing weather conditions.
