Fuel prices in Pakistan are influenced by global oil market trends, exchange rate fluctuations, and domestic taxation policies. In recent months, the government has relied heavily on petroleum levies to boost revenue collection.

The latest hike is expected to have a direct impact on inflation, as higher fuel costs typically increase transportation expenses, which then affect prices of essential goods and services.
