Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab has announced that all ongoing development works across Karachi will be completed by June 30.
The mayor made the statement during a late-night visit to various project sites on April 21, 2026, where he reviewed progress along with officials from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), as reported by local media.

During the inspection, Wahab assessed ongoing work in multiple areas and directed authorities to maintain pace and ensure timely completion.
He highlighted development activity in Shadman Town, where road construction is underway, and noted that work on Shahrah-e-Bhutto is progressing rapidly.

The mayor said the current year has been dedicated to completing development projects, adding that residents will soon witness improvements across all towns in Karachi.
He revealed that KMC plans to spend Rs68 billion on development initiatives during the year, focusing on road infrastructure and civic facilities.
