In a bid to improve the urban environment around major railway stations, Pakistan Railways and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) held an important meeting to discuss a collaborative strategy for cleanliness and beautification.
The meeting took place at the KMC office and was attended by key officials from both organizations, including Municipal Commissioner Syed Muhammad Afzal Zaidi and Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railways Karachi Mahmood-ur-Rehman Lakho.
Other participants included Staff Officer to the CEO of Pakistan Railways Imtiaz Farooq, Deputy DS Hamid Farooq Qureshi, Divisional Executive Officer Malik Muzammil, and Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Abdul Samad.

The primary focus of the discussion was the improvement of civic amenities and environmental conditions surrounding Karachi Cantt, Karachi City Station, and Drug Road Station. It was mutually agreed that joint efforts will be undertaken to make these areas cleaner, greener, and more aesthetically pleasing for commuters and the general public.
Officials from both departments emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation in enhancing public spaces and ensuring a more welcoming atmosphere for travelers. They committed to taking swift, coordinated actions in maintaining sanitation, landscaping, and overall infrastructure development.
