The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) officially announced the registration and test date of MDCAT 2025.
According to media reports, the test will be conducted under the supervision of different universities across provinces and territories to ensure transparency and regional accessibility.
In Sindh, IBA Sukkur will now conduct the MDCAT test in Sindh, replacing the previous system of test administration through various universities.
In Punjab, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore will administer the exam, while Sukkur IBA University will conduct it across Sindh.
For candidates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Khyber Medical University will oversee the test. In Balochistan, the University of Balochistan, Quetta, will be responsible.
Students from Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and even Saudi Arabia will appear through Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), which will supervise their examinations.

The registration process for MDCAT 2025 will begin on August 8, 2025, and will remain open until August 25, 2025. Late registration will be allowed until September 1, with an increased fee.
The PMDC has set the standard registration fee at Rs 9,000, while candidates applying after the deadline will pay Rs 13,000.
Meanwhile, the nationwide exam is scheduled for October 5, 2025, at 10 am.
Officials emphasized that passing the MDCAT is mandatory for students aiming to gain admission into both public and private medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.
The PMDC clarified that this standardized national exam is designed to ensure a uniform, merit-based, and transparent admission process for aspiring medical students.
Students are advised to prepare accordingly and keep track of important deadlines to avoid late fees and ensure timely participation in the exam.
