Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to defending national sovereignty during his visit to Multan Garrison on Monday.
He reviewed the operational preparation of the troops and ongoing training activities, expressing satisfaction over their combat readiness.
During an interactive session with members of academia and civil society, the Army Chief emphasized the importance of national unity and civil-military cooperation. He stressed that a “whole-of-nation” approach is essential to counter hybrid threats and strengthen social cohesion.
Field Marshal also presided over the induction ceremony of the Z-10ME attack helicopter into the Pakistan Army Aviation Corps.
The modern, all-weather aircraft is designed for precision strike operations and comes equipped with advanced radar systems and electronic warfare capabilities.
The Z-10ME is expected to significantly boost the Army’s ability to respond to both aerial and ground threats, marking a major step in the modernization of Pakistan’s military aviation fleet.

Later, the COAS observed a live firepower demonstration by the newly inducted helicopters at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges.
Speaking to troops on the occasion, Field Marshal praised their high morale, professionalism, and combat skills. He also commended the successful display of integrated combat tactics, reinforcing the Army’s resolve to maintain a strategic edge in modern warfare.
