Iran retaliates against Israel,launches ballistic missiles at Tel Aviv

Large explosions have been heard in Tel-Aviv, Israel, according to CNN, as their team is reporting from the ground.

According to media reports, Iran has launched approximately 100 ballistic missiles targeting Israel in a large-scale attack.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that his government informed the United States “in advance” of Israel’s recent military strike on Iran, adding that the Trump administration “knew about the strike,” as reported by CNN.

At least 78 people were killed and 329 injured after Israeli airstrikes hit multiple locations across Iran, including residential areas in Tehran, as reported by Iran’s semi-official news agency.

The Israeli attacks reportedly targeted homes, military leadership residences, and sensitive military and nuclear facilities.

According to media reports, three senior military officials and six scientists are among the dead as the Israeli strikes caused widespread damage and fear among the local population.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos in Tehran as emergency teams scrambled to rescue survivors trapped under rubble from the bombardment.
