Renowned astrologer Humayoon Mehboob, speaking on a private news channel program, explained that the meteor, also known as a shooting star, is a fragment of a comet or asteroid entering Earth’s atmosphere.

He stated that while meteors are common, their occurrence alongside a recent lunar eclipse and an upcoming solar eclipse could have significant implications. Mehboob described this combination as a rare and noteworthy astronomical event.

According to him, these celestial events may indicate severe weather conditions and global crises related to water and air. He warned that coastal regions, including Karachi, could be heavily affected.

The meteor sighting took place on a recent night, with many Karachi residents witnessing the spectacle. Social media users shared videos and expressed amazement.

The term “Shahab-e-Saqib” comes from Arabic, where “Shahab” means a burning flame, and “Saqib” means piercing through.
