Karachi robberies Ramadan 2025

Karachi has seen a sharp rise in robberies and looting incidents during Ramadan 2025. In multiple encounters, three alleged robbers were killed while another managed to escape.

Amid rising street crimes, citizens of the metropolis appear to be taking matters into their own hands, with three robbers shot dead by civilians in separate incidents.

In one incident near the Matric Board Office in Nazimabad, two robbers were gunned down by a citizen during an attempted mugging.

Central SSP Zeeshan Siddiqui confirmed the recovery of weapons from the slain suspects, stating that their identities are being verified, and a case will be registered accordingly.

According to the Citizens-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), February alone saw the snatching of 1,402 mobile phones, 3,773 motorcycles, and 195 cars across the city.
