Committee found no evidence of injustice to Karachi intermediate students

The inquiry committee investigating the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) result has finalized its report, as per media reports.

The interim chairman of BIEK established the committee to address the concerns of students who failed in the pre-engineering and pre-medical groups of examinations.

The drop in the intermediate results ratio ignited widespread condemnation as the students affected by the outcomes alleged injustice grading by the board officials.

The BIEK Chairman – Ameer Qadri – was also removed from his position amid the protests by the students demanding rechecking or scrutiny of their papers after the result was announced.

The report suggested that the investigation committee will soon submit the finalized report to the BIEK Chairman.

However, according to the news report, the committee in its report termed the marking correct and found no evidence of injustice to Karachi students in the marking and grading system.

The committee members checked a total of 250 exam sheets of students and found no errors from the checkers’ side while grading the students.

It is pertinent to mention here that the controversy burst into light when the students of intermediate Karachi alleged that their results were ‘deliberately’ being made extremely poor.
