The National Highway Authority (NHA) has increased toll tax on various motorways across Pakistan, as per a notification issued by the authority.
According to media reports, the toll tax for a vehicle on the M-1 Motorway from Islamabad to Peshawar has been increased from Rs 460 to Rs 500.
The toll tax for a vehicle on the M-3 Motorway from Lahore to Abdul Hakeem has been increased from Rs 650 to Rs 700, while on the M-4 Motorway saw a surge in toll tax with rate surged from Rs 850 to Rs 950 for a vehicle from Pindi Bhattian to Faisalabad and Multan.
The toll tax for a vehicle on the M-5 Motorway from Sukkur to Multan has been increased from Rs 1050 to Rs 1150, while on the Hakla D.I.Khan Motorway M-4 the tax has been surged to Rs 600, as per NHA notification.
It is pertinent to mention here the toll tax rate has surged for the third time on national highways and motorways in the past seven months.
