The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that the current heatwave is likely to continue in Karachi till November 12.
In an interview with Dawn News, the Chief Meteorologist – Sardar Sarfaraz – anticipated that the heatwave in Karachi is likely to continue till November 12, with the temperature in Sindh to further spike 6 to 7 degrees.
“The first 10 to 12 days of November will remain hot and humid,” Sarfaraz added.
The Chief Meteorologist further added that the winter to hit Karachi from the mid of December.
Earlier to this, Sarfaraz predicted that the weather would remain dry in most parts of the country during the next 12 hours.
The statement added that the weather in nearby hilly areas is expected to stay cold during the evening and night, with smog persisting in the morning and night across Punjab province.
