On Monday, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced that it will be planting three million saplings at airports across the country. This initiative is part of the ongoing monsoon tree plantation drive.
Addressing the media, Aviation Secretary Hassan Nasir Jamy stated that over 100,000 saplings will be planted at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi and 300,000 saplings will be planted at the airports as part of the plantation drive.
The monsoon tree plantation drive at the Karachi airport was inaugurated by CAA director general and aviation secretary. Airports Security Force (ASF) deputy director-general and airport services deputy director-general were also present at the launch of this initiative.
Earlier, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had also announced that it will be planting 12,000 saplings at Islamabad International Airport and the surroundings.
