The Sindh Health Department has observed that Karachi has considerable number of vents as for now, 102 patients are having vent support out of 550 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ventilators and 106 patients are off vents.
According to the Health Department, there are currently 570 vacant HDU ventilators available for public at the moment.
It further said that the city has 232 available ICU vents. In the various Karachi hospitals there are 1,374 high dependency unit (HDU) vents and people under treatment in them stand, as of now, at 212.
On the other hand, 181 patients are being treated on low flow oxygen support HDU vents, of them 204 are available for public.
Moreover, the city has observed a dip in the Covid cases earlier but the positivity ratio has again surged to 23 percent, said the Health Department.
