A group of nine friends from Karachi met with a fatal accident while on their way to Keenjhar Lake for a picnic on Wednesday morning. The group, travelling in a Suzuki pick-up, collided with a truck that had suddenly applied its brakes at a toll plaza. All nine people travelling in the van lost their lives in the accident. The victims, hailing from the Malir area of Karachi, were taken to the civil hospital in Makli, but unfortunately, none of them survived. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, and the driver of the truck has been taken into custody. The dead bodies have been shifted from Thatta to Edhi mortuary located at Sohrab Goth, where six people have been identified, while the identity of three is yet to be ascertained. This tragic incident has left the entire city in shock and mourning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and loved ones of the deceased.
