A student was killed inside a coaching facility in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighbourhood by a youth who opened fire.
One student was seriously injured in a shooting that occurred inside a coaching facility in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal neighbourhood. After being transported to Civil Hospital in critical condition, the student passed away from his injuries.
According to the police, the victim was a student named Ehsan Akhtar who died as a result of the shooting used by a young man named Luqman.
AK-47 semi-automatic rifle was allegedly used to kill Ehsan Akhtar by Luqman, who had no trouble bringing the weapon inside the coaching facility.
Tariq Mastoi, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) East, arrived at the crime scene. He claimed to two students fighting in the coaching centre a few days prior, but the administration was able to resolve the conflict.
He also mentioned that both students attend the same coaching facility to study. According to SSP Mastoi, a probe into how the large weapon entered the centre is currently in progress.
According to SSP Matoi, Luqman will be arrested soon by the police.
Ehsan Akhtar, whose father owns a vegetable cart, was the youngest of five siblings and a part-time tutor for schoolchildren.
The maternal uncle of the boy told the media that his nephew lost his life due to a petty issue. He said that the family does not know from whom he engaged in a fight.
Akhtar’s paternal uncle demanded the authorities immediately arrest the accused who gunned down the boy.
