Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that the killers of journalist Athar Matin will be caught soon.
Matin, a journalist, was gunned down in North Nazimabad, Karachi, was shot dead by dacoits when he saw a robbery taking place on the way.
According to police, Athar Matin was shot dead on the spot by the falling robbers while the accused snatched another motorcycle and escaped easily.

Talking to the media, Memon also said that the policy on street crimes is clear. According to the report of the police officials, the number of incidents of theft and snatching of motorcycles and vehicles has increased by 84% in January this year as compared to December last year.
In January 2022, 3,908 motorcycles were stolen and 419 were snatched, in December 2021, 3,385 motorcycles were stolen and 308 were snatched.
