KDA unveils first residential project in 35 years

The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has made a historic announcement by introducing its first residential project in 35 years. The Director-General of KDA, Naveed Anwar Siddiqui, shared details of the upcoming venture in an exclusive interview with Dawn News.

The new residential project, named Scheme 46, is strategically located on the Northern Bypass to address the growing population needs of Karachi. Covering over 14,000 acres of land, the scheme aims to provide housing solutions to citizens.

According to Siddiqui, the project will offer plots ranging from 120 to 400 square yards. The allocation of plots will be conducted through a lottery system, providing an opportunity for citizens to secure their residential space in this expansive development.

The decision to launch Scheme 46 reflects the city’s commitment to addressing the housing challenges posed by the increasing population. The introduction of a new residential project after three decades signifies a significant step towards urban development and meeting the housing demands of Karachi’s residents.
