The Pakistan Meteorological Department (MET) has predicted above-average monsoon rainfall in Pakistan this year. On Monday, the department predicted that a new system of monsoon rains will be entering the city from July 20.
As per details, the city will witness light to moderate rainfall in different parts.
Earlier, the Met Department stated urban flooding may occur due to above-average monsoon rainfall.
“Based on global and regional circulation models, the outlook for the monsoon season is that the rainfall is expected to be around 10pc above normal across the country,” the Met Office said.
It further stated that Sindh is expected to receive 20 percent more rainfall this year.
Monday, July 13: Light rainfall occurred today in the morning in different parts of the city, including Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, PECHS Society, Shahra-e-Faisal, North Nazimabad, Baldia Town, and other places.
The rainfall turned the weather pleasant for the rest of the day and the temperature of the city was recorded at 32 degrees centigrade.
