The Karachi South District Administration on Thursday decided to start checking people’s corona vaccination cards at various locations.
Sources from the administration claim that it has been decided that the vaccination certificates of people working in markets, cinemas, restaurants, bakeries and shops will be randomly checked.
Areas, where the checking will take place, include Saddar, Gizri, Clifton and Lyari. It is being said that if workers or owners of shops or businesses do not have vaccination cards, the shop will be sealed and the owner prosecuted.
An official notice on the matter is yet to be received.
