Last night, Karachi experienced a cold night with the temperature dropping to 08° Celsius, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicting that the mercury is likely to dip further in the next 24 hours.
The PMD predicted that the weather in Sindh likely to remain cold and dry in several districts with the intensity of fog remaining light to medium during nighttime in Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, and adjoining areas.
The cold spell, due to frosty winds from Quetta, contributed to a further dip in the feel-like temperature in Karachi with temperatures likely to drop to 07° C in the next 24 hours.
Following the first winter rain of 2025, Karachi’s weather is set to become colder as frosty winds from Quetta are expected to hit the metropolis, starting from Saturday [January 04].
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts that Karachi will feel chillier during the day starting from today.
