Karachi initiates crackdown on unlicensed drivers

In a move to control the rising number of accidents, Sindh police have announced a strict crackdown on unlicensed drivers in Karachi.

Speaking to the news channel here in Karachi, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon asserted that the cars and motorcycles of the driver without valid licenses will be impounded.

He highlighted that untrained driving as a primary cause of traffic congestion and stressed that such negligence would no longer be tolerated.

Additionally, traffic police also introduced a new system under which the repeat offenders will face cases after two challans.

The IG also discussed measures like e-tagging to monitor habitual offenders.
