December has brought a noticeable dip in temperatures across Karachi, with the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reporting significant changes in the weather.
As per PMD, the minimum temperature of Karachi dropped to 12.7°C in the past 24 hours and currently hovers around 13°C.
Northeasterly winds, blowing at seven kilometers per hour, are keeping the city cool, with a maximum temperature of 29°C expected during the day, according to the PMD.

Meanwhile, Balochistan is experiencing a harsher winter. Quetta recorded a chilly -2°C, while temperatures in Kalat and Mastung plummeted to -7°C and -3°C, respectively.
Northern and central parts of the province are grappling with freezing conditions, with water sources icing over in several areas.
The cold wave follows a PMD warning issued last week predicting night-time temperatures in Sindh to drop to between 7°C and 9°C. The Met Office has also forecast further intensification of the cold wave nationwide, accompanied by upcoming rain and snowfall in northern regions.
