Sindh has reported a significant rise in malaria cases, with over 93,000 cases reported in the past week alone.
According to ARY News report, a total of 93,002 cases of Malaria has been reported in Sindh during the past week.
As per the details, Larkana reported the highest number of cases at 10,427, followed closely by Khairpur with 7,858 cases.
Other areas impacted include Qambar with 7,525 cases, Dadu at 5,980, and Mirpurkhas reporting 5,655 cases.
Smaller yet more substantial case numbers were also seen in Badin, Sanghar, Tharparkar, Tando Allahyar, Sukkur, Naushehro Feroze, Shikarpur, and Umerkot.
As per NIH sources, over 1,000 cases were reported in Karachi, and 566 cases in Malir area of the metropolis.
Other affected districts included Karachi West with 204 cases, Central with 161, East at 140, Korangi with 68, South at 41, and Keamari reported 24 cases.
