The Pakistan Private Schools Federation (APPSF) has announced that all schools will remain closed on May 25 in observance of Pakistan Martyrs Day. This decision aims to honor and commemorate the sacrifices made by the martyrs of Pakistan.
In other news, Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, inaugurated a hospital dedicated to the treatment of drug addiction in Karachi. The Benazir Shaheed Model Addiction Treatment and Rehabilitation Center, located in the Manghopir area, will provide free medical facilities and opportunities for social engagement to drug addicts.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by provincial ministers Sharjeel Memon, Murtaza Wahab, Saeed Ghani, and Mukesh Kumar Chawla, along with Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Nawabzada Shahzain Bugti as the guest of honor.
During the ceremony, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah emphasized the collective effort needed to make Pakistan a drug-free country. He acknowledged the widespread prevalence of drug addiction in society and stressed the importance of immediate measures to prevent and combat drug abuse.
