If you’re planning to apply for a US work visa, beware as the applicants are facing a rising number of fraud cases in the Country.
In a similar incident, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested three suspects involved in visa fraud and human trafficking during recent operations in Islamabad and Peshawar.
Two of the suspects, Khalilullah and Marjan Ali, were wanted in a 2024 case.
They tricked people into paying large sums of money for fake US work visas and then disappeared.
Another suspect, Haris Khan, was caught in Peshawar for running an unlicensed travel agency, where officials recovered four Pakistani passports.
Earlier, agent Faheem Khan was also arrested for deceiving job seekers, taking huge amounts of money under false promises of overseas employment.
The FIA recovered 32 passports, mobile phones, and other evidence from him.
Authorities warn applicants to verify the authenticity of visa agents before making any payments.
Falling for fraudulent schemes can result in financial loss and legal trouble. Always consult official embassy websites or licensed agencies for work visa applications.
