No official UAE work visa ban on Pakistanis, NA told

UAE Visa ban Pakistan

The Foreign Ministry has clarified that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has not imposed an official ban on work visas for Pakistanis, as per a report presented in the National Assembly (NA).

According to the ministry’s report, the Gulf state had placed restrictions on visa issuance due to concerns over illegal activities involving some Pakistani citizens.

These included fake degrees, job contracts, criminal activities, and political involvement. Additionally, some individuals had overstayed their visas, leading to stricter scrutiny by UAE authorities.

To resolve visa-related concerns, Pakistan’s embassy in Abu Dhabi and senior officials from the Foreign Ministry’s Middle East Division have engaged with UAE authorities at multiple levels.

The report assured that bilateral discussions are ongoing, and Pakistani officials remain in constant contact with UAE counterparts.
