A man in Peshawar allegedly shot and killed the admin of a WhatsApp group after being removed from it, police said.
The incident occurred in the Regi Safed Sang area, where the accused, identified as Ashfaq, gunned down Mushtaq Ahmed following a dispute over his removal from the group.
An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the victim’s brother, Humayun.
Humayun in the police report stated that he witnessed a heated argument between his brother and Ashfaq over removal of WhatsApp group.
As the situation calmed down and they were returning home, however, the accused opened fire from their back. The brothers sought refuge at a petrol pump, but Ashfaq followed them and fatally shot Mushtaq.
The victim’s body was handed over to the family after a postmortem, while further investigations are underway.
