Street crime remains a major concern in the city, with a total of 10,356 incidents recorded in the first two months of 2025 in Karachi.
Despite the alarming number of criminal activities, police reports indicate a 28.18 percent decline compared to the same period in 2024.
According to the latest report, violent crimes continue to pose a threat, with 12 citizens killed and 41 injured while resisting robberies.

Mobile snatchings remain on top, with 2,806 phones stolen in just two months.
Additionally, criminals targeted 306 vehicles and 7,244 motorcycles, either snatching or stealing them from various areas of the city.
The report further reveals that mobile phone thefts occurred at a daily rate of 48.4 percent, while the daily rate of vehicle theft and snatching stood at 5.3 percent.
Motorcycle thefts and snatchings remained the highest, with a staggering daily rate of 124.9 percent. Authorities continue to urge citizens to remain vigilant as efforts to curb street crimes in the metropolis.
