Karachi Heavy vehicle movement

The authorities in Karachi took notice to regulate the heavy vehicles after a tragic road accident involving a speeding dumper at Millennium Mall, which claimed three innocent lives.

The KMC officials expressed concern over a large number of causalities and countless injuries due to the unregulated movement of heavy vehicles – dumpers and trucks – across the city.

In its letter to the police, the Mayor, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and the City Council have taken notice of the situation and have directed to take all possible efforts to address the issue related to the movement of heavy vehicles.

The KMC also urged that all dumpers and trucks should only be allowed to run on roads during later hours, preferably from 10:00 pm to 06:00 am.
