Pakistan Air Force ranks seventh among world’s most powerful air forces

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been ranked seventh in the world’s most powerful air forces, according to Global Firepower’s latest report.

This global recognition highlights the PAF’s strength, bolstered by a fleet of 1,434 aircraft, and positions it as one of the leading air forces globally.

Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of a powerful air force for Pakistan, expressed in 1948, has now been realized, with the PAF securing a prominent place on the international stage.

Global Firepower’s ranking is based on the number and types of aircraft in each air force, with the United States Air Force securing the top spot.

The U.S. leads with 5,737 helicopters and an annual defense budget of $800 billion.

Russia and China follow in second and third places, respectively, with China also rapidly modernizing its air force.

In South Asia, the Pakistan Air Force plays an essential role, while countries like Egypt, Turkey, and France also feature in the top 10 rankings.
