MQM-P accuses Bilawal of threatening traders, blames PPP for Karachi’s decline

MQM-P Karachi traders

The Chairman of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), criticizes Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari over his recent speech with Karachi traders, accusing him of using a threatening tone.

In a press conference, MQM-P chairman – Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui – claimed that Bilawal’s remarks reflected an aggressive stance, particularly towards traders, who are facing increasing demands for extortion.

He further alleged that the PPP’s leadership had allowed Karachi to deteriorate under a “well-thought-out plan” over the past 15 years.

The MQM leader emphasized that Karachi, despite contributing significantly to the province’s resources, has seen little improvement under the PPP’s governance.

He criticized the PPP government for not addressing the growing concerns of the city’s residents.

Siddiqui also raised the issue of “fake domiciles” and called for judicial intervention to address the matter.

He ended his statement by accusing the PPP of allowing criminal groups like the Lyari gang war to dominate the city, leaving Karachi in a state of hostage-like conditions under their rule.
