In response to a rise in child abduction cases, Karachi Police, in collaboration with an NGO, announced its plan to launch an awareness campaign aimed at preventing such incidents.
The campaign will include the display of banners and posters outside schools, neighborhoods, parks, and community centers, featuring messages and images to educate children about safety.
The banners will encourage children to avoid talking to strangers or accepting gifts and will urge parents to take precautionary measures, such as not sending their children to school or madrasa alone.
This initiative comes after recent abduction cases, including the disappearance of two minor kids, including five-year-old Aaliyaan and six-year-old Ali Raza, who went missing in Karachi’s Garden area on January 15.
Despite the FIR under kidnapping charges, the children’s whereabouts remain unknown.
The campaign aims to raise awareness and equip both children and parents with important safety information to help prevent further incidents.
