The mercury in Karachi is likely to reach single digits in the last week of January 2025, as forecasted by the weather experts.
According to the weather analyst, the strong icy winds from the west are likely to affect the weather till January 23 across the country.
The analyst further forecasted that the different areas of Sindh including Karachi are expected to experience another cold wave after January 24.
On the other hand, most areas of Pakistan – Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana, and other regions – are expected to receive light rain and snowfall is likely to be experienced in the mountain areas across the country.
Earlier to this, Karachi is currently experiencing a cold wave that is expected to persist until January 17, according to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz.
He confirmed that the city’s cold weather will intensify, with strong northeastern winds blowing at speeds of 25 to 30 km/h.
Starting January 15, temperatures at night are predicted to drop to single digits, reaching a minimum of 9°C to 11°C, accompanied by a 65 percent humidity level and winds from the northeast at 20 km/h.
The cold spell will continue until January 17, when western winds are anticipated to reduce the intensity of the cold.
