traffic police fired Karachi

The Sindh Inspector General (IG) of Police suspended several traffic police officers for allegedly being involved in corruption and negligence at Karachi’s Saudabad driving license branch.

According to the details, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has taken swift action against corruption and negligence in Karachi and suspended seven police officers for their involvement in alleged misconduct.

Memon directed the suspended officers, including Inspector Ashraf Ali Soomro and Inspector Saeed Muhammad Shah, to report to B-Company, while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Siddique Memon will face departmental action.

Senior Clerk Muhammad Asif Ali, ASI Muhammad Panah, ASI Shahid Ali, and Head Constable Shahzad Gul were also suspended for their alleged misconduct, and directed to report to B Company Police Headquarters in Garden.

In a related development, the Karachi Special Branch has heightened its operations following the exposure of a possible connection between organized crime leaders and Special Branch officials.

However, some senior police officers claim that false Information Reports (IRs) are being filed against officers who arrest suspects linked to organized crime.
