Karachi Mayor’s spokesperson police case Karachi City

Victim accuses Karachi Mayor’s spokesperson in police case

The president of Burns Road Food, Faraz Khan, has named Karachi Mayor’s spokesperson and two others in a police case.

According to the media reports, Faraz Khan, a businessman and President of Burns Road Food Street, was shot and injured on Shahra-e-Faisal near a nursery area while traveling to his home in PECHS.

Four unidentified suspects on two motorcycles opened fire, hitting Khan’s cheek and neck, with other bullets striking his car.

Khan has accused his business partners – Karamullah, Karachi Mayor’s Spokesperson, Mazhar, and Mansoor Shah – of planning the attack on him.

According to Khan, they owe him Rs 98.7 million for road and garden contracts and allegedly threatened his life when he demanded of repayment.

The case has been registered at Tipu Sultan Police Station, however, no arrests have been made yet.

On the other hand, Karamullah, the Mayor’s Spokesperson, denies the allegations, calling them an attempt to tarnish his reputation.

He claims, “This is a baseless case filed by malicious elements who want to hinder the city’s progress. I am open to any inquiry.”
