A total of 771 people have lost their lives, and 8,014 others have been injured in accidents across Karachi, according to a report released by the Chhipa Foundation.
As per the report, the fatalities includes 601 men, 88 women, 61 children, and 21 girls, meanwhile, the injured consist of 6,714 men, 1,064 women, 290 children, and 79 girls.
The released figures show an alarming rise in fatal traffic accidents in Karachi.
The Chhipa Foundation also reported the number of traffic accidents for each month in 2024.
According to Chhipa report, January recorded the highest number of accidents with 69, followed by 51 in February and 32 in March. In April 51 accidents were reported, and 39 occurred in May.
The number of accidents continued to fluctuate throughout the year, with 59 reported in June, 26 in July, and 33 in August.
September saw 60 accidents, while October had 53, November recorded 68 accidents, and so far, December has seen 60 accidents.
