Karachi police in an encounter, killed two kidnappers in the Defense area and rescued the citizen.
According to DIG South Asad Raza, two additional kidnappers managed to escape during the encounter and are currently being in search.
The police recovered a vehicle, weapons, and other items from the suspects.
DIG South reported that the kidnapped individual, Nazir Ahmed, was taken from outside his house in Khayaban-e-Ittehad the previous day.
The elderly man was abducted by four kidnappers while he was waiting for his grandson in the car after offering Fajr prayers.
The grandson, unable to find his grandfather, checked the CCTV footage, which revealed the kidnapping.
He then alerted the police, and a case was filed at Sahil Police Station.
