Karachi is set to experience intermittent strong winds starting today, with heavy fog affecting visibility across the region, as forecasted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
As per the details, the authorities have closed the M-1 Motorway – which connects Peshawar to Rashakai – due to fog and harsh weather condition.

The cold wave continues to grip northern Pakistan, with the minimum temperature recorded at minus 7°C in Skardu and Ziarat over the past 24 hours.
Other areas in the region are also experiencing sub-zero temperatures, including Hunza, Gilgit, and Dalbandin, where temperatures dropped to minus 5°C, while, Quetta recorded temperatures of minus 4°C.

In major cities, Islamabad and Mithi reported a chilly 1°C, while Peshawar and Muzaffarabad saw temperatures of 2°C.
Lahore, Sargodha, and Dera Ismail Khan recorded a temperature of 5°C, while Multan, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, and Bannu were at 6°C. Karachi, relatively warmer, reported a temperature of 13°C.
Residents in Karachi should brace for gusty winds, and travelers are advised to monitor weather updates due to ongoing disruptions on major roads.
