Following the bursting of the 84-inch water line on University Road, the residents of Karachi are facing a significant water shortage in several areas.
However, to address the issue, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) has set up a window service at government hydrants, allowing citizens to book water tankers easily over the next three days.
In addition to regular households, residential flats can also request water tanker services under the General Public Service scheme.
The government has increased the number of water tankers available at concessional rates for citizens.
Booking Process and Rates:
The price for a single tanker at government hydrants is Rs 1560, while a double tanker costs Rs 2300.
If the tanker is delivered within 10 kilometers, there is no additional diesel charge, but for areas beyond 10 kilometers, there is an extra charge of Rs 60 per kilometer.
