The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) thwarted a major drug smuggling attempt at Jinnah International Airport, arresting a Brazilian woman carrying 1.396 kilograms of cocaine.
The woman, who arrived on a flight from Brazil, was intercepted by the security officials during passenger clearance after arousing suspicion about her behavior.
Upon searching, ANF officials discovered the cocaine concealed in a plastic pouch inside her undergarments.
The seized narcotics, valued at over Rs 13.9 million, represent another attempt by international drug networks to infiltrate Pakistan.
A case has been registered against the suspect under the Narcotics Control Act, and an investigation is underway to identify her connections.
ANF officials noted their commitment to combating drug smuggling despite the increasingly twisted methods to smuggle narcotics, but the force remains committed to combating drug smuggling.
