Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday invited Turkish and Swedish companies to invest in Sindh, proposed partnerships under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
CM Sindh held a meeting with the diplomats from Turkey, Sweden, and Oman here at CM House and discussed the strengthening bilateral relations, fostering trade, and exploring investment opportunities in the province.

Murad Ali Shah, in his meeting with Turkish Ambassador H.E. Irfan Neziroglu accompanied by the Turkish Consul General Mr Cemal Sangu welcomed the ambassador and remarked, “Consider Pakistan your home, as we share a special bond with Turkey.”
Ambassador Neziroglu told the CM that leading Turkish companies are visiting Pakistan for the International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2024) and emphasised the significance of Pakistan for the Turkish government and its people.
During the discussion, the CM showcased Sindh’s diverse geography and abundant natural resources, including gas, oil, and coal.
He highlighted his government’s efforts to promote tourism and invited Turkish companies to invest in energy, coal mining, and other sectors. The CM also proposed partnerships under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The meeting concluded with the agreement for CM’s newly appointed Special Assistant Qasim Naveed to coordinate with the Turkish Ambassador to advance investment initiatives.
In another meeting, Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah welcomed Swedish Ambassador Mr Alexandra Berg von Linde during her first visit to Karachi since taking office. She was accompanied by Second Secretary Ms. Jessica Martiboe and Consul General Dr. Zilf Munir.
Ambassador von Linde said that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Sweden. She added that the purpose of her visit is to assess investment opportunities.
CM Shah expressed concern over the decline in trade between the two countries and urged the ambassador to take an active role in boosting bilateral commerce. “Some Swedish companies are already operating in Pakistan, and we invite more to explore investment opportunities in Sindh,” he said.
The meeting also highlighted Swedish companies’ interests in wind and solar energy, as well as water management projects. The ambassador praised the Sindh government for the successful launch of the Pink Bus service, while CM Shah reiterated his government’s commitment to providing clean drinking water and affordable electricity to the people.
