Karachi reports four fire related incidents in 24 hours

Karachi has witnessed a surge in fire incidents over the past 24 hours, with multiple fires breaking out in different areas resulted in significant damage.

According to the reports, a fire broke out in a 7-story building early in the morning located in Mitha Dar area of New Chali with several residents were trapped, and one person jumped from the building in an attempt to escape the flames.

However, rescue officials managed to safely evacuate nine individuals from the building.

Another fire occurred at Mehran Hotel on Shahra-e-Faisal, where a blaze erupted on the third floor. Firefighters quickly brought the situation under control, preventing further damage to the hotel building.

In the Site Area, a pharmaceutical factory under construction caught fire. The fire brigade responded swiftly, containing the flames without causing major damage.

Meanwhile, in Malir Model Colony, a fire broke out in a plastic tank warehouse. Though no human injuries were reported, dozens of birds, including chickens, ducks, parrots, and pigeons, were perished in the fire.

Authorities have been actively responding to these incidents, but the rising number of fires highlights the growing concern over safety and fire prevention measures in the port city.
