For the second time without a late fee, the Karachi board has extended the deadline for submitting matric exam forms.
The Acting Director of Examinations, Zaheeruddin Bhutto, announced the new submission date for Class IX annual exams in 2025, covering both science and general groups, is from November 6 to November 19, 2024.
This extension applies to both regular and private candidates, allowing government schools to submit forms within this period without any late fees.
Bhutto confirmed that this would be the final extension, and no further delays would be allowed for submitting the forms.
According to the provincial education department’s schedule, the matriculation exams are set to take place in March 2025.
Students who miss the deadline will face a late fee, which will gradually increase as follows: Rs 500 from November 20 to December 3; Rs 800 from December 4 to December 17; Rs 1,200 from December 18 to January 1, 2025; Rs 1,500 from January 2 to January 15; Rs 1,800 from January 16 to January 24; and Rs 2,500 for any submissions after January 24.
