CM Sindh inaugurates high-tech fusion center of CTD in Karachi

The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, inaugurated a High-Tech Fusion Center for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar, IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, Additional IGC CTD Imran Yaqub, and other senior officials.

IG Police Ghulam Nabi Memon provided a detailed briefing, highlighting the center’s capabilities.

Approved last year with a budget of Rs 772 million, the Fusion Center was completed by the National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), integrating both online and offline databases across various security agencies, equipping decision-makers with comprehensive, real-time data to counter extremist threats effectively.

During his address, CM Shah highlighted the need to address individuals and groups involved in extremism within the province.

He praised the police force, particularly the CTD, for their unwavering commitment to combating terrorism.

Shah stressed that the Sindh Government has equipped the CTD with advanced weaponry, technology, and support to protect the life and property of the citizens.

“The sacrifices and determination of Sindh Police in ensuring the security of the people are unforgettable,” Shah stated, commending the bravery and dedication of law enforcement personnel.

He also acknowledged the role of the Rangers and other agencies in maintaining law and order, reinforcing the provincial government’s commitment to a coordinated, tech-driven fight against terrorism.
