Karachi: 50 bikes, cars stolen in 24 hours

Sindh police once again failed to control street crimes in Karachi as citizens reported the theft of 50 motorcycles and cars within the last 24 hours.

Among the incidents, three motorcycles were taken at gunpoint, while 45 motorcycles were stolen, along with two cars parked outside the residences of the victims.

The thefts occurred across various police jurisdictions, with incidents of motorcycle theft primarily reported from Shah Latif Town, Sukhan, and Sachal police stations, meanwhile, the car thefts were notably reported from Gulshan-e-Maymar and Gulistan-e-Johar areas of Karachi.

According to Daily Jang, a total of six motorcycles were stolen from Lyari Baghdadi and another six from Sukhan and Korangi, while four motorcycles were stolen from Karachi’s industrial area, while two motorcycles each were reported stolen in Shah Latif Town, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Gulistan-e-Johar, and Shah Faisal Colony.

Meanwhile, other incidents were reported from Joharabad, Site A, Shershah, Steel Town, and several neighborhoods such as Mithadar, Risala, Rizvia, Saudabad, Site B, Shahrae Faisal, Civil Lines, Jamshed Quarter, Baloch Colony, Al Falah, Sharif Goth, Super Highway, Pirabad, Soldier Bazar, and 16 motorcycles reported stolen from the limits of Frere police stations.

The surge in crime raises concerns about the safety and security of the citizens in Karachi, prompting calls for enhanced police patrols and vigilance to combat this rising street crimes.
