A Sub Inspector was crushed by a dumper driver in an attempt to fine it the challan, the vehicle was rammed through the traffic Inspector and was escaped from the spot in the area of North Nazimabad.
The deceased Inspector was identified as Muhammad Hafiz, who was taken to a nearby hospital at Stadium road where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to the traffic police officials, the incident took place near Abdullah College when Hafeez was trying to stop the dumper which violated traffic rules but the driver did not stop and hit the inspector.
FIR has been lodged against the driver under the supervision of Inspector Asif in North Nazimabad station. The police are looking for the driver who escaped after the incident.
